Microsmosis and Macrosmosis, two separate collaborations between Katie Hill, Jake Eidem and I, were designed to juxtapose the nature of the Micro and the Macro.

Jake’s work typically takes on large and vast cosmic spaces, whereas my work takes on small organisms, quantum actions, and looks deeply into fractals down to their minimalist degree. Katie Hill tied our visions together by her adding her own in these works titled Microsmosis and Macrosmosis. Katie’s vision derived from looking at constellations in the night sky and seeing a mycelium (more or less the root like underground portion of fungus) in the sky. Katie’s interconnected vision was executed with nails and thread, thus most literally tying our visions together.
